Biography

In his words…

I’ve been an attorney for over 25 years. During that time, I’ve worked for an international bank, traditional law firms, and private businesses. In addition to practicing law, I’ve started a number of businesses, developed commercial real estate, and, during the original dot-com boom, I co-founded an online financial administration platform that still thrives today, some 20 years later.

My background makes me different from most attorneys. I’ve been in your shoes, living the ups and downs of business and partnerships. I’ve been a client in need of legal services, and I understand what people look for in legal representation and, more importantly, what they should expect. Being an entrepreneur at heart, I keep my clients well-informed, charge fees commensurate with the value I provide and make certain that they understand the goal and how it will best be achieved. I don’t tell clients what to do, but I do furnish them with all of the information necessary to make decisions, and I am more than willing to share my opinions on how I would personally proceed.

I help clients achieve their business goals while managing their legal risks. I understand that risk management is the key to a successful business. I help my clients succeed by maximizing opportunity and minimizing cost. I work closely with my clients, advancing ideas, solving problems, and accomplishing their objectives. Taking on specific burdens for my clients frees them to focus on their work, their lives, and their businesses. That matters as much to me as it does to them.

I hate when people don’t respond to me, especially when I’m paying them to do so. Therefore, I am extremely accessible, often communicating with my clients at all hours by email, telephone, and text. If I’m unable to talk, I’ll let you know ASAP and we can schedule a more mutually convenient time. Good communication and transparency are the hallmarks of my service.

I represent a diverse group of clients in business and real estate transactions, contractual issues, and corporate matters. Whether you’re a seasoned entrepreneur, a mature business owner contemplating a merger or acquisition, or it’s your first start-up business idea and you don’t know where to begin, I work closely with my clients to achieve their success.

Licensed in Florida and New York, I represent clients all over, including places as distant as Guam and Singapore. If you’re working on contracts, seeking to build or grow your business, or other matters of transactional law, it’s likely I can help you wherever you are. Much of my practice is virtual. In fact, I have several clients with whom I have worked for many years that I have never personally met. I firmly believe that finding the right fit in an attorney and advisor surpasses geographic location every time.

If what I say on this page resonates with you, and you have a need for legal services, please contact me. I will be straightforward and honest, letting you know if I can help you or not and, if for some reason I cannot, I will steer you to the right place to better solve your legal.
